12 Weeks....I Made It!!

Praise God...I have made it to 12 weeks, and I am feeling better each and every week. This morning was the first morning that I wasn't able to completely hide my "bump!" It was exciting! The second trimester is my favorite time to be pregnant! I have had my first little "nesting" moment, which is good timing, since Jason is off this coming week for vacation. Rather than going anywhere, we are working in the house......FUN!

Anyway, everything seems to be going great. Over the next 8 weeks is when the baby will grow the most, so keep me and baby Pendley in your prayers! God is so good to us!

Meet Baby Pendley :)

Well, here's our little sweetpea....very tiny, but oh so special!! This is my 10 week ultrasound picture, and this was an intravaginal ultrasound, so it's much more detailed, but pretty difficult to see on a blog... The baby's heartbeat is 175....which is much faster than I remember Noah's being at this stage, but it's hard to remember. In this picture, the head is at the right, and the torso is on the left. The baby is very active, which is hard to believe, b/c I am not feeling any movement yet. We've still got awhile for that. My doctor said that all is perfect......please keep up the prayers for us that things will continue to go smoothly.
These pictures are just for fun....some of you have never seen pictures of Jason and I as children. Here is a picture of Jason....he was 4 years old here. Isn't the resemblance between he and Noah uncanny??? Yikes!
And, here I am....just for another comparison. I am 2 or 3 here...not completely sure. The only similarity between Noah and I are the shape of our eyes.....and he has my chin. But, that's about it! Jason and I both had blonde hair as children, so I think it's safe to say that baby Pendley will most likely also be blonde....at least by the time he/she is 1. I was born with really dark hair, so we'll see. We can't wait to see Baby Pendley!

10 Weeks :)

Well, the countdown is on to the end of my 1st trimester. I have to say....I'm glad, considering that I have had a terrible time going through all of the ups and downs of nausea, fatigue, emotional instability......and on and on. I am starting to feel somewhat better. My nausea is mainly at night now. As for Noah, he's completely aware of the "baby" being in my tummy, but in reality, he probably thinks it will never come out and turn his life upside down. Oooo....how do I explain that one? Anyway, he is obsessed with my belly-button....probably because he is obsessed with buttons, and he may think that something is supposed to happen if he presses it.....he, he!

See....I am showing a bit. No weight gain yet, but my tummy is perfectly round!
Please continue to keep our precious Noah and our unborn child in all of your prayers. We are doing great and are VERY excited. At the end of this week, the baby will no longer be an embryo, but a fetus, so it's his/her 1st graduation!! Yay! It is about an ounce in weight, and about 1 1/2 inches tall....from head to rump. To be so small, it already has made such a huge impact on our lives....and how my body feels! But, we know it's ALL worth it! Stay tuned for an ultrasound pic soon!! :)

My First Doctor's Appointment :)

Finally!!! Today, I was able to visit my doctor's office to receive the OFFICIAL word that I am, in fact, PREGNANT!!!

Everything is looking perfect, and I am scheduled to get my first ultrasound next month. I am SO EXCITED about that!

My due date is APRIL 5, 2008!!! It sounds like a lifetime away, but there is much to be done before then, so I am glad to have this time. I am SO excited, and Jason and I cannot wait to share this precious child with our families and friends, and especially NOAH!!!! He will be an awesome big brother!!

PROOF!!! THE BEST BIRTHDAY SURPRISE EVER! I will truly never forget this birthday.....how could I? It was a dream of mine to become a mother again, and finding out on my birthday made the dream so much more extraordinary! :) I have been busting at the seams, wanting to share this memory with all of you! Keep us in your prayers, ok?

Tummy Burn :(

It's already started.....I have heartburn in the pit of my stomach, and I feel nauseated tonight after eating dinner. Most of you who knew me when I was pregnant with Noah remember the terrible heartburn and reflux that I had.....but, it wasn't bad until I was around 22 weeks. I literally ate Rice-A-Roni and Macaroni for the entire last trimester of my first pregnancy. Those were the ONLY things that did not give me bad reflux or heartburn. And, I'm not ready to go there yet......

This is such a familiar feeling.....one that I was hoping not to experience again. Oh, well. It could be far worse I suppose.

The last 2 days have brought my first signs of morning sickness, although it's been pretty mild. Today, I took a 2 hour nap when Noah napped, which is not something I would normally do. I am SO TIRED........but, I'm feeling good still.

Time for bed.....
