Here "SHE" Is!!! Yesterday, Jason, Noah, and I were given the most wonderful news!! We're having a girl!! 100%...no doubt about it!!! A couple of you have asked over the last couple of weeks what I thought it was going to be....I have to honestly say that I have known it was a girl for the past 4-5 weeks...but, it has been very difficult with not knowing "for sure." There are mostly boys on Jason's side of the family, and we were beginning to wonder if we'd ever see a little girl. Believe me, our boys are precious enough, but isn't it wonderful to be given the best of both worlds? I am Overly Excited! A funny story....it took the entire 30 minute ultrasound to confirm that it was indeed a girl. Why?? She had her legs crossed just like a little lady...It was hard to wait for the final word, but it was quite funny to see her act in that way. I cannot WAIT to meet her!!!

It's Daddy's Turn....
Last night, for the first time, Jason got to feel Baby Pendley move! He loved it! Right now, Baby Pendley only really moves when I'm sitting down watching TV at night...isn't that funny? I guess that's the only time of day that I'm actually still for a few minutes. I think it's so important to share as many pregnancy moments as we can with our men b/c they miss out on so much by not being able to carry the baby. Of course, some things they'd be happy to miss out on...:) Good or Bad....I personally love it all, and I feel privileged that I am able to carry a child of my own.

Baby Pendley's First Flutters :)
Well...baby Pendley is definately making its presence known! So Exciting! About 4 days ago, I THOUGHT I felt that first little flutter, but it was SO SO subtle. I knew it could be possible since I first felt Noah move at 17 weeks, but I still needed some convincing. Then, sure enough, over the next 2-3 days, I felt more and more little thumps and flutters....mainly all in the same area, so I knew it was my little bambino!!! :) I just love it! It is just one of the most magical and amazing feelings that a mom-to-be can experience. Now, I am wondering more and more....who are you in there?? He Or She??? Only God knows!!!

16 Weeks :)

Well...here I am at 16 weeks...not much of a change since 12 weeks, except I am one step closer to feeling my sweet baby's movements...and of course, finding out what this little one will be....boy or girl? Who Knows? It's hard to predict, but we are very excited about finding out next month. This past Thursday, I visited my doctor for a check-up, and baby Pendley is strong and growing, with a heartbeat of 155 BPM. It was wonderful to finally hear the heartbeat for the first time.....I was able to see the baby's heartbeat on the last ultrasound, but this was my first time to actually hear it with the doppler. And...big news! I've gained 3 lbs.! This is good, b/c I had lost 1 lb. during the first trimester, so now, I'm headed in the right direction. I'm still small for being 4 months pregnant, but, we all know that that will soon change as I enter month 5 and 6.
I am still having about 1 sick day per week.....hard to believe, but hopefully this sickness will make it's way OUT of my life FOR GOOD soon. I am feeling good though...I'm still resting when Noah naps, and my appetite is getting better. I dined on some AMAZING sushi this week for the first time this pregnancy. I had some killer indigestion afterwards, but it was worth it! :)
PLEASE keep us in your prayers, and visit Noah's blog often....we have been SUPER busy, making sure that Noah's last fall season as an "only child" will be one worth remembering! :) Love you all!!!

12 Weeks....I Made It!!
Anyway, everything seems to be going great. Over the next 8 weeks is when the baby will grow the most, so keep me and baby Pendley in your prayers! God is so good to us!

Meet Baby Pendley :)
Well, here's our little sweetpea....very tiny, but oh so special!! This is my 10 week ultrasound picture, and this was an intravaginal ultrasound, so it's much more detailed, but pretty difficult to see on a blog... The baby's heartbeat is 175....which is much faster than I remember Noah's being at this stage, but it's hard to remember. In this picture, the head is at the right, and the torso is on the left. The baby is very active, which is hard to believe, b/c I am not feeling any movement yet. We've still got awhile for that. My doctor said that all is perfect......please keep up the prayers for us that things will continue to go smoothly.
These pictures are just for fun....some of you have never seen pictures of Jason and I as children. Here is a picture of Jason....he was 4 years old here. Isn't the resemblance between he and Noah uncanny??? Yikes!
And, here I am....just for another comparison. I am 2 or 3 here...not completely sure. The only similarity between Noah and I are the shape of our eyes.....and he has my chin. But, that's about it! Jason and I both had blonde hair as children, so I think it's safe to say that baby Pendley will most likely also be blonde....at least by the time he/she is 1. I was born with really dark hair, so we'll see. We can't wait to see Baby Pendley!

10 Weeks :)
Well, the countdown is on to the end of my 1st trimester. I have to say....I'm glad, considering that I have had a terrible time going through all of the ups and downs of nausea, fatigue, emotional instability......and on and on. I am starting to feel somewhat better. My nausea is mainly at night now. As for Noah, he's completely aware of the "baby" being in my tummy, but in reality, he probably thinks it will never come out and turn his life upside down. Oooo....how do I explain that one? Anyway, he is obsessed with my belly-button....probably because he is obsessed with buttons, and he may think that something is supposed to happen if he presses it.....he, he!
